Sad to see Clara go, but her time has come. I just hope we get somewhat of a satisfying end for the impossible girl. Also I had forgotten about what happened to the master. Hope we get an explain for that as well.

Re: 10 Reasons to Avoid Using Justcloud.com

Good to see that you were able to get it resolved somewhat!

Re: 10 Reasons to Avoid Using Justcloud.com

I used them for two years and really had no issues since the software worked fine and I never had need to contact their service... Until ..

I discovered an awesome free piece of software called MAX Syncup ( free for one backup profile ) .. it works with google drive.. I pay $9.00/mo for 1 terabyte of storage on google drive and that is way more than enough.. plus with MAX Syncup, it encrypts the data before uploading it so I am way more confident in security.. SO having read up on their cancellation procedure and then finding sites like this.. I decided step one would be to go into paypal and cancel my "subscription' there first, that way they could not charge me anything in the future..

Secondly I e-mailed them and told them straight up that I had already cancelled future payments, that I was not unhappy with the functionality and that I had just found a free solution to my backup needs ( free software, and I was already paying for the space. So I was honest )..

It took them 3 days to get back to me, but they did confirm the cancellation and I was refunded $53.00 .. That was on October 28th when I got the refund.

Fast forward to Nov. 3rd, I get a phone call from a 1-888 number that I didn't recognize.. I missed the call while I was looking up who it was.. It was justcloud! .. so I called them back curious as to why they would be calling me.. I figured it was probably because they noticed the payment was declined? .. but when I called the foreign guy on the phone said it was impossible that they called because the account is cancelled.. They said my data would be deleted upon cancellation.. but I logged in now and it says "Your account is cancelled, to access your files please reactivate your account" .. it shows I have 240,000 files stored with 195gb used.... so they are obviously retaining my information.

So using chromes element inspect I was able to get rid of their popups and start deleting stuff from my sync folder with a macro app ..

Re: Torchwood Returns in 2015 via Big Finish

Looks like UNIT is getting a spinoff, too!

Re: The Case of Rolling Stone and the Guest Commenter

This is a post I wrote after reading comments appearing on a Rollingstone.com article.

Re: HR Blog Feeds

Hi Kyle,

This a great page you have. I had computer crash and lost all the info I thought was backed up on the cloud. I could get no response from the support service. There is "no" phone or online chat support or remote access to help with questions or problems accessing the files I was trying to restore. The on access to support was, email them a request for assistance and hope they contacts me back. There were times when I waited weeks before I received a reply. I asked to cancel my account and get a refund for the balance. I was told they do not refund. I cancelled the credit card account in order that they could not continue to charge me for service. They had charged me for additional year after I had emailed them to cancel my account. "Do not download this service". They are a scam!

Re: Torchwood Returns in 2015 via Big Finish

Refresh my memory, Clarence.

Re: Torchwood Returns in 2015 via Big Finish

Ha, the series where I saw the Doctor die.

Re: Torchwood Returns in 2015 via Big Finish

I can't wait to listen to this!

Re: 10 Reasons to Avoid Using Justcloud.com

This place is a JOKE. I have clicked on UNSUBSCRIBE a number of times and I continue to get their unwanted emails. I cannot believe this place!! After nearly a 40-minute wait on hold, I spoke to a rep who took all my particulars to cancel my trial membership and email. a joke

Re: The Time of Change

Thanks, @Clarence Brown!

Re: I’m Moving

Thanks, Clarence! I cancelled the account via email as requested, but was still charged when my account renewed. When I pointed this out to them and asked for a refund, I got a response along the lines of, "Sorry, but we are subscribed under a service via PayPal and if you don't cancel that, we can still charge you." Basically, it was my own fault that I was charged! It would have been nice if they had told me this when I initially tried to cancel the service!

The only reason I am at this website is because I tried to Google a phone number that has been harassing me for the past two days. For context, I sent my last grievances to them via email a month ago. Why are they choosing now to call me every day?

I don't recommend this company. Their customer service was pretty awful, to be honest.

Re: 10 Reasons to Avoid Using Justcloud.com

Thanks for the comment. After reading this page I won't be renewing.

The bastards also won't let me access my data until I renew. Forget that.
